Employee Spotlight

Posted June 19, 2025

At Raymond, we have outstanding employees, so we decided to feature some of them on our blog. Our next Employee Spotlight features Jessie Falcon, a dedicated Raymond team member for 17 years. As a BIM Job Captain, Jessie plays a key role in turning architectural designs into detailed construction documents, collaborating with clients, consultants, and internal teams to manage the 3D CAD/BIM workflows.

We sat down with Jessie to learn more about her and her time at Raymond.

What brought you into the construction industry? I worked for an architect and interior designer for three years before Raymond. I wanted to know how a building was constructed from the ground up.

What do you like most about working in construction? I learn something new from every project I work on, and I love the friendships made with the project managers, foremen, and especially general contractor and trade partners.

What has been your favorite project with Raymond and why? YouTube Theater at SoFi Stadium. It was the most complex project for me, and I am very proud of that… and I love concerts!

What current projects are you working on with Raymond? A large out-of-state stadium project and Pepperdine The Mountain in Malibu, California.

Raymond is performing framing, drywall, and plaster for Clark Construction on Pepperdine The Mountain, which consists of a basketball arena and recreational building.

What’s the best thing about your job? The best part of my job is contributing to projects—like universities, hospitals, and arenas—that will have a lasting, positive impact on people’s lives and communities for years to come.

What is the most challenging part of your job? The initial uncertainty at the start of each project, when everything is still taking shape!

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you? You will make mistakes, and it is all part of the process of growing up and fine tuning who you are as a person.

What advice do you have for prospective Raymond candidates? Be ready to dive in and learn fast! You’ll have a team that’s got your back and plenty of chances to grow.

What do you like doing when you’re not at work? Sketching, charcoal drawings, and wood burning. I also love to play my piano and sing while my son plays the guitar (we do tons of Green Day songs haha), and karaoke.

Favorite thing to do? I like going to music festivals and dancing to live music. I like to let my inner child out and connect with other like-minded people. I always come back from a festival with new friendships and having learned something new about myself.

What music artist do you never get tired of? I got tons! but my top are CloZee, Feist, Beirut, INZO and Svdden Death.

What inspires you? My kids inspire me. As they grow, I grow too—and I strive to become a better version of myself every day, so I can lead by example through the way I live.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without? My kids, and cheese!

What country do you want to visit but haven’t? Ireland and New Zealand.

What meal could you eat every day? Grilled cheese sandwiches (but not mine, I am a horrible cook, haha).

What is something most people are often surprised to learn about you? That I talk when you really get to know me, and that I think I am really funny 😊
