Raymond was proud to take part in this year’s Future Construction Leaders Foundation (FCL) Camp for Teen Girls! This annual summer camp, located in San Diego, offers teen girls a no-cost, hands-on introduction to careers in construction. Throughout the week, participants gain experience using power tools and learn the fundamentals of various trades—all while building real structures (this year: garden benches!). Along the way, they develop skills in communication, teamwork, and confidence.

Throughout the event, Raymond provided equipment and mentors (skilled carpenters) to teach campers various construction techniques like roof sheathing, framing, interior drywall, exterior siding, housekeeping, and painting.

Created as a community outreach to increase interest in the construction industry among women, FCL Camp provides skills that last long after the program ends. For more information, visit https://www.futureconstructionleaders.org/.
