We are thrilled to announce that Raymond Project Engineer Kii Holloway was honored with the Paramount Award at the 2025 WWCCA Women in Construction Awards, a distinction reserved for those who “go above and beyond to achieve service excellence.”

The WWCCA Paramount award recognizes individuals who consistently deliver outstanding customer and client service, build meaningful relationships, and ensure satisfaction across every touchpoint.

Kii Holloway is a standout leader in her role for Raymond’s Southern California region, managing every stage of a project with care, from initial planning through close-out. She actively collaborates with general contractors, coordinates meetings, and stays closely aligned with field operations to ensure all aspects of a project are seamlessly executed. Her impressive portfolio includes leading work on some of the most complex and high-profile projects in the industry, such as two NFL stadiums, one NBA arena, an NHL minor-league stadium, and an 80-story hotel, among others. Above all, Kii brings passion, dedication, and rigor to her work, qualities that shine through in every project she leads.

We are also proud of our other Raymond nominees, Ashley Barredo, D’wana Smith, and Heidi Phillips, whose contributions and excellence continue to elevate our team and industry.

Raymond recently held a Charity Day in our Southern California region, bringing employees together to give back to the community through hands-on volunteer work and acts of kindness. The day was split into two impactful experiences.

The first group boarded the Do Good Bus, an organization that combines team-building with community service. Their destination was the Orangewood Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting young people transitioning from foster care to independence. Our volunteers spent the day cleaning, painting, and completing repairs at one of Orangewood’s living facilities—making a difference while building connections with their teammates and having fun along the way.

The second group stayed onsite and created Kynd Kits to support various causes. Volunteers assembled:

  • Cancer Care Kits filled with comforting items for patients undergoing treatment, to be donated to nonprofit organization PIH Health, serving residents in Los Angeles and Orange County.

  • Fidget Blankets for children in hospitals, to be donated to PIH Health.

  • Rescue Dog Kits complete with handmade beds and toys for shelter animals, to be donated to nonprofit animal welfare organization Priceless Pets, located in Costa Mesa, California.

Each kit was designed to bring joy and support to someone in need.

To close out the day, everyone came together to celebrate their efforts with a visit from a dessert truck—sweetening a day full of generosity and teamwork.

Rebuilding Together San Diego is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the homes and lives of low-income homeowners, particularly seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities, by providing free home repairs and renovations. They focus on ensuring these residents can live in safe, healthy, and independent environments.

Thank you to Clark Construction for including us in the event, which they have been part of for many years. It’s an opportunity for communities to come together, giving back to those who need it most while making a lasting impact on neighborhoods.

Raymond’s San Diego region participated in the San Diego Building Industry’s annual Baja Challenge by helping to build a home for a family in need just south of the San Diego border. Raymond was invited to the team challenge by the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. Raymond and Whiting-Turner brought 35 employee volunteers, along with their family and friends, with the goal of building twenty homes in total by all participating companies.

The Project Mercy Baja Challenge has been taking place for 24 years now with the goal of improving the standard of living and reducing health hazards for impoverished families in the colonies east of Tijuana, Mexico. This year’s event, which took place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, was a coordinated effort between the non-profit organization Project Mercy and Baja Challenge. Raymond provided a volunteer building crew as well as donations for building materials.

The family who received support from this year’s Baja Build expressed their gratitude, saying, “What you are doing is a tremendous blessing to our family.” Each year, Raymond feels deeply honored to give back to our neighboring communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such generous organizations and industry partners.

Raymond recently participated in the Future Construction Leaders Foundation (FCL) Camp for Teen Girls. This annual summer camp provides teen girls a unique, hands-on, approach to a construction career at no cost. During the week full of activities, participants handle power tools and learn the essential elements of various construction trades, as they are challenged with building a structure (this year was chicken coops). They build skills in communication, teamwork, and self-confidence.

Throughout the event, Raymond provided equipment and mentors (skilled carpenters) to teach campers various construction techniques like roof sheathing, framing, interior drywall, exterior siding, housekeeping, and painting.

Created as a community outreach to increase interest in the construction industry among women, FCL Camp provides skills that last long after the program ends. For more information, visit https://www.futureconstructionleaders.org/.

Raymond-Southern California’s recent Office Charity Day was a heartwarming success, filled with teamwork and compassion. Our office split into two groups to volunteer for two amazing causes.

Group 1: Ace of Hearts Foundation The first group stayed at the office and dedicated their time to the Ace of Hearts Foundation. Volunteers assembled stuffed animals and handcrafted bookmarks, which will be distributed to children in need along with donated books. The creativity and care put into each item was inspiring, reflecting our team’s commitment to bringing joy to those who need it most.

Group 2: CHOC Hospital and Farmhouse Rescue The second group visited CHOC Hospital, where they worked diligently to put together 100 ‘Smile Boxes’ in collaboration with Farmhouse Rescue. These special boxes are given to children at the beginning of their oncology treatments, offering a source of comfort and cheer during a challenging time. The volunteers filled each box with thoughtful items, ensuring that every child receiving a Smile Box feels supported and cared for. Each box also includes a letter from a farm animal offering the children an opportunity to write back, creating a pen pal relationship.

Sweet End to a Sweet Day To wrap up the day, everyone gathered back at the office for a delightful treat from a dessert food truck. It was a perfect way to celebrate our collective efforts and the positive impact we made together.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and made this day possible. Your generosity and dedication exemplify the spirit of our team, and together, we made a difference in the lives of many. Let’s continue to spread kindness and support our community in every way we can!

Ace of Hearts supports kids having a hard time (sick, bullied, live in divided families, foster care) as well as senior citizens in the community.  The Ace of Hearts Project’s board of directors consists of children in the community that come together to discuss business aspects, write letters, and plan for the non-profit organization.

Farmhouse Rescue saves animals from abuse and inhumane living conditions to provide them with a safe, secure, and loving forever home. All the farm animals engage in Animal Assisted Activities (AAA) to heal humans in need.

CHOC Hospital’s mission is to nurture, advance and protect the health and well being of children. At CHOC Hospital in Orange and CHOC at Mission Hospital, they are dedicated to working cooperatively—assisting and enriching existing services as well as developing programs to benefit the families of Orange County. Over two million children across four counties count on CHOC—regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
